本種は本州のクズから記載され、米国(ジョージア州)とオーストラリアからも記録されている。クズの葉に普通に見られるが、オスは少ない。本属は前胸背板の後角刺毛の先端が広がることが特徴で、3種を含む。本種は黄色と褐色に色分けされることで他の2種から識別できる。
This species was described from Pueraria lobata in Honshu, Japan, and also recorded from USA (Georgia) and Australia. In Japan, it is common on leaves of P. lobata, but the male is observed infrequently. This genus has the pronotum with the characteristic posteroangular setae which are expanded at apices, and consists of three species. This species can be distinguished from the other two species by the bicoloured body in yellow and brown.
